Turning Non-Voters into Voters

Supporting Grassroots Organizations

Founded in 2017, Airlift is an all-volunteer fundraising organization that believes in year-round grassroots organizing. We raise money from generous donors like you and give those funds directly to Airlift’s curated Partner Groups.

The nonprofit grassroots organizations we support are located in battleground regions. With our funding, these organizations bring local people into political action. They develop leaders and build statewide political coalitions that give them a voice in creating the policies that govern their states.

Democracy for All

Airlift was founded on the idea that to make real political change and ensure that democracy works for all of us, we must involve everyone in our communities. Our goal is for everyone to participate in creating policies that have a positive impact on our communities and to have a voice in creating lasting change.

Making a Difference!

Thanks to grassroots organizing, the last several years have seen massive increases in voter turnout by young people and people of color. When these groups vote, they decide elections. Airlift-supported Partner Groups brought hundreds of thousands of new voters to the polls in the states that have the greatest impact on election results. This is our work. We hope you will join us!

Our Core Principles

Give people a reason to vote

When people are engaged by issues that matter, they vote.

Funding year-round local organizing

With continuous neighbor-to-neighbor outreach, new voters turn out.

Bottom up is a winning strategy

When people get involved at the grassroots level, democracy works for all of us.

An Effective Way to Engage New Voters

Donating to Airlift is an easy, strategic way to invest in proven local grassroots groups working in key battleground areas to turn non-voters into voters.

Instead of paying for high-priced consultants and TV ads, all the money you donate to Airlift goes directly to local organizing. This year-round, neighbor-to-neighbor organizing work is the most effective way to engage and turn out new voters.

More than 98% of your donation goes directly to our Partner organizations.

Give to Airlift via ActBlue

This is the fastest way to donate. You can donate evenly to all the groups or customize your donation.

ActBlue takes just 4% off the top to process your credit card and to help support their work.

Send a Check

This is the most efficient way to donate. There is no limit on the amount. Your donation is completely private.

Make out your check to Airlift and mail to:

Airlift, PO Box 617
Corte Madera, CA 94976

Become a Sustainer

Many of our donors make sustaining monthly or quarterly donations from their checking accounts. These donations are especially important because our Partners work all year long. You can use the bill pay function on your checking account and make Airlift the recipient.

Airlift is an all-volunteer project of MVCAN, Mill Valley Community Action Network, a 501(c)(4) organization. Online donations go directly to the groups we support via ActBlue. Airlift takes recommendations from check donors into account but the IRS requires that we retain full discretion over the distribution of funds. Contributions to Airlift are not tax-deductible. Ask at info@airlift.fund about tax-deductible giving.
